Default IDE Help / Update 1

I am using D4PHP 30-day trial (ver 2.0.0.1041). The IDE Help does not work (error - 'Address Not Valid') - other Helps seem ok. I believe I was instructed to download/install a new Help file after the trial installation - not sure. Suspect problem may be file location but have had no success trying to find/fix any path problem.

Also, appears to be new free trial pkg and/or Update 1 available (2.1.0.1083). Question: in this situation, should I uninstall existing 30-day and download the newer version (what does that do to my trial period??) OR should I download Update 1 and apply it to my existing 30-day trial (assume this would fix the HELP file problem)?

Any suggestions appreciated. Thx. Gene_AZ

Unhappy No replies...

Apparently there are no suggestions on fixing the IDE HELP problem.

How about just the Trial Period question. Can I reinstall D4PHP2 without losing remainder of my trial period (to maybe fix HELP)?

Can I download and reinstall D4PHP2 and renew/continue the 30-day trial (would get Update 1 and maybe fix HELP)?

Thx Gene_AZ

Thanks, 405hp!!

Just for any viewers of this thread, fix was:

"Open help.chm using the windows file explorer, and if you get a warning, reply No to the question, after that, you will be able to use the file without problems." from Jose Leon.

'Reply No to the question...', at least on my Vista machine, meant to deselect the checkbox "Always ask before opening this file"

Works fine now! Thanks to all.

You cannot reinstall the trial version of D4PHP: Every new installation of D4PHP must be registered and you can use the trial registration only once. Only the bought versions allow a reinstall by telling the registration server the cause for the reinstall.

Greetings,

Wolfgang
