Any sign of a new version of D4PHP?

When can we expect an Update/Upgrade of D4PHP? And, if there is one in the offing, will it fix the bugs we've encountered?

Well according to the Delphi for PHP roadmap we are due for a new version:

Delphi for PHP “Crocodile”

Codename: Crocodile
Time Frame: Early 2009
Theme: Improved PHP code editing and database support

A Delphi for PHP code named “Crocodile” is scheduled for release in early 2009.

Specific features and areas of focus under consideration for Crocodile include:

• Creation of IDE experts and property editors using the PHP language
• Improved Database Workbench to allow for database design
• Improve HTML support with integration of style management, HTML Tidy for formatting, and HTML validation tools
• Improvements to the Tool Palette and Project Manager
• Manage the PHP.INI file via the IDE
• Integrated Javascript/AJAX debugging
• File History feature to backup files as they are saved
• Refactoring for PHP
• Importation of WSDL files for accessing web services via PHP
• Deployment wizard to ease the deployment of Delphi for PHP projects

Hopefully they have extended the list above to include everything which currently needs fixing from version 2.0

As yet there has been no official announcement as to when this new version will be released ... It's not even being Beta tested at the moment so don't expect anything soon.....

When we have something new to say a new road map will be posted. Wish I
could say more, but it isn't worth loosing my job over. Until a new road
map is available, the only comment I can make is it is no longer Early
2009. :-)

Just to give you an update:

I've heard from Michael Rozlog (Sr. Director of Delphi Solutions @ Embarcadero) and he mentioned that there should be an updated Delphi for PHP roadmap coming out within the next couple of weeks!!

So fingers crossed

What I don't understand is there is such a HUGE need for this product worldwide, most developers I know would LOVE to move away from ASP.NET/Sql Server/IIS into PHP/MySql/Apache, IF, they had a robust framework and IDE. It blows my mind that other software companies have not jumped on the bandwagon, and D4PHP is SO CLOSE.... What a shame....
