Problem moving project to server

Hi,

I am using delphi since 7 years ago, and I like it.
Now I am testing delphi for PHP, in order to move some proyects to php.

I am using Delphi VCL 2.1 and EasyPHP (php 5.3) to test locally my sample projects.

When I run from delphi everything works ok, but when I deploy files and place then in Easyphp local site, i get a lot of problems.

The error I get in local php is:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\EasyPHP\www\vcl\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 363

Could any one help me?
Do you recomend me to use another tools to develop PHP ?

MySQL 5.1 returnes empty data?

Hi,

I use MySQL 5.1.

I have in a MySQL-table called Person 2 records with PersID = 1 and 2, the
table is acitve. All fields are filled, the data explorer shows all data
correctly thus the DB-connection seems to be OK. This has worked for a long
time already. New no field content can be shown, see below.

I run following:

$DataModule1->TablePerson->Filter = "PersID=2";

echo ' 1. "' . $DataModule1->TablePerson->Filter . '" ';
echo ' 2. "' . $DataModule1->TablePerson->PersID . '" ';
echo ' 3. "' . $DataModule1->TablePerson->PersCode . '" ';
echo ' 4. "' . $DataModule1->TablePerson->RecordCount . '" ';

I get following results:

What may cause this?

newbie - connecting to database

Hi

I have just downloaded and installed RadPHP XE so sorry for what is probably
a simple issue.

I have on my machine an ODBC datasource called AMMailMerge (which I use
extensively for Mail Merge to MS Word). This points to a Visual foxpro
table cdoc.dbf.

I have created a small application and placed onto the form 4 components...

Database with properties
DatabaseName = AMMailMerge
DriverName = odbc
Host = localhost

Query1 with properties
Database= Database1
sql = select * from cdoc

DataSource with properties
dataset = query1

dbGrid with properties
datasource = datasource1

when I run the application I get the following SQL/ODBC error.....

Can someone please advise where I am making a mistake.

Tried the recommend fix of uncommenting:

extension=php_mssql.dll

from the php.ini.template file and this worked on an Win XP box, however, with RadPHP installed to a Windows 7 box after commenting the php.ini.template a new error occurs

stating RadPHP cannot find file ntwdblib.dll and followed by yet another error message saying it can't find php_mssql.dll......suggestions?

Hi, I am a life-long PHP hand coder, but have been looking at Delphi for PHP for a while and now RADphp XE. It seems that the documentation for RADPHP is better than the delphi docs but only just. I have a trial version installed and can't find info on the following, though it should be basic basic basic. Any help would be appreciated (and probaly useful to others too.)

1) I am deploying on a LAMP environment. what is the best way to connect to the database: datamodule, add required tables to each appliction page? If I create a common.php file that has common functions how do I include that datasource and related properties / methods?

2) There are some really simple queries that I want to run such as checking if a record ID exists in a table before I post a new record. Is there a built-in method for this or do I write out the SQL for that? Is there any documentation that is organized by results rather than just method names?

3) I want to create a drop-down select field that is populated by a database (for instance a country field that is populated by available countries in the database). How do I do this?

4) I created a FormValidator and made up a bunch of rules, but when I run the unit nothing happens. How do I get the form to check the FormValidator?

I'm sure that I will have a bunch more questions, but I appreciate anyone's input here... thanks, Jon

Whenever a new console is released onto the market, there is normally something wrong with the first generation. This is actually more true than ever before with the consoles that are being released today. The problem is that manufacturers are making them more like computers than ever before. As we all know, computers come with their share of problems, and the Playstation 3 is no exception to the rule. So how do we stop those ugly PS3 freezes and make the system run like it did right out of the box once again?

The first thing that you could consider is that your PS3 is being affected by the heat. This happens to many consoles, and it will especially cause the PlayStation 3 to freeze at some point. The same thing can happen to a computer actually; heat will either make it freeze or shut down entirely.

Now here's something you can try- Shut down the console for a couple of minutes, and then try turning it back on. This might work, but chances are there is a more permanent problem. When this happened to the Xbox 360 many people suggested wrapping it in a towel because the towel would absorb the heat. Obviously, the more you try this, the more damage you could cause to your PS3 because it simply couldn't fix your PS3 constant freezing problem.

The next and most obvious thing that you can look for are loose cables. If the hard drive cable is loose then a freeze would be imminent. There are other cables going to the board that might also be loose, so look about and see what you can find. In addition to this you could also try removing the hard drive and putting it back in, or replacing the hard drive if you think it is damaged.

If none of these work, you could try replacing a cooling fan or adding a cooling pad to the bottom of your PS3. Chances are though you will have to take more drastic measures. It might just be that you need to get a good guide to help you fix your PlayStation 3 freezes. There are plenty of guides that you can get all over the internet, but the trick is finding one that works like a charm, and that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

It would be best to search for user reviews of any product you intend to purchase to fix your PS3 freezes. It might seem like a lot of work, but it can get incredibly annoying just searching and searching for the right guide to fix that broken PS3. If you take your time and locate one that works on the first time, then you will be back to playing your PlayStation 3 in no time.

I got it to work. For reference in C:\Program Files\Embarcadero\RadPHP\3.0\php there is a php.ini.template - making sure the line
extension=php_mssql.dll
was not commented out fixed the issue. I did not realize this file replaces the php.ini file for your project.

The interaction with Firebird is pretty well documented.
The Delphi approach is nice, drop something on the form and it will work.
However as stated before it's not always that easy. But hopefully the vcl
will be better supported now.

One of my first mistakes was the Delphi approach:

myform := tform.create(application);
myform.showmodal;
myform.free;

This approach will not work in php. Just an example. Don't let you be
mislead. I'm pleased that the product is no longer called Delphi for PHP.

Note that your license agreement prevents you from selling Delphi for
PHP. Anyone you sell it to will not be able to register it. I cannot
comment on Jomitech's product as it is not ours, but my hunch is their
licensing is similar to ours.

I just tried it with FireFox and it works the way I want it to. The animation keeps going until the page is reloaded. IE 8 does not behave the same way (go figure!). Anyone know of a workaround?
